Getting started
What it takes to put a Modulus store live
On Modulus you build and preview your store for free; to put it live and take real orders you need a paid plan, starting with Starter at ₪99 a month before VAT. Before the store goes live, Modulus checks for a product with a photo, your business type and details, a way to get paid, a shipping zone, the three legal pages and a published homepage.
How to edit your store with the AI assistant in Modulus
In Modulus you edit your store in the editor: tell the AI assistant what to change (text, images, sections, pages, colors and fonts) and the change goes into your draft right away, or click any text, image or section and edit it by hand. Changes to prices, products and categories happen only after you approve them, and the design reaches the store only when you click "Publish".
Payments and Bit
How to connect a payment provider to your Modulus store
In Modulus you connect an existing payment provider from the Payments screen, under "I already have a processing company": pick Cardcom, Grow, PayPlus, Hyp, or Pelecard, enter your account details, and Modulus checks the connection before saving it. Once connected, shoppers pay in your store by credit card and Bit, and the money reaches you through the provider.
How to accept Bit payments in your Modulus store
Modulus takes Bit in two ways: through a connected payment provider (Cardcom, Grow, PayPlus, Hyp, or Pelecard), where Bit appears at checkout automatically, or without a provider, as "Bit or PayBox" to your phone number, where you confirm each payment yourself. With Cardcom a Bit payment is limited to ₪5,000 per order; above that the shopper pays by card.
Invoices and VAT
How to connect an invoicing service to Modulus (Morning, EZcount, iCount, Rivhit)
In Modulus you connect an invoicing service under Settings → Business and invoicing → Invoices for buyers: pick Morning, EZcount, iCount, or Rivhit and paste the API key from the service. From then on every paid order gets a document automatically, a tax invoice-receipt by default.
Credit invoices on refunds: how it works in Modulus
Yes, Modulus issues credit invoices automatically: when you set an order’s status to "Refunded", a credit invoice is issued against the original invoice through the same invoicing service that issued it (Morning, EZcount, iCount, or Rivhit). The refund itself is made with your payment provider, because changing the status doesn’t move money.
Business details and VAT in Modulus: osek patur, osek murshe or company
In Modulus you enter your business details under Settings → Business and invoicing → Business identity: business type (osek patur, osek murshe or company), legal name, tax ID, email, phone and address, and they’re required before the store goes live. An exempt dealer (osek patur) charges no VAT and issues receipts only; a licensed dealer (osek murshe) or company charges VAT (18% by default) and issues a tax invoice-receipt or a tax invoice.
Products
How to add products to your Modulus store
In Modulus you add products in four ways: by hand under Products → "Add Product", from an Excel or CSV file (Shopify and WooCommerce exports included), from photos that the AI writes a name, description and category for, or by asking the AI assistant. There’s no limit on the number of products on any plan.
How to sell alcohol, tobacco and 18+ products on Modulus
On Modulus you sell 18+ products such as alcohol or tobacco with the "Adults only (18+)" setting under Settings → Checkout: visitors confirm they are 18 or older before the store opens and again at checkout, and the order records it. A store that sells alcohol also turns on "Alcohol warning", which shows the warning the law requires in the store footer.
Shipping and discounts
How to set up shipping in your Modulus store
In Modulus you set up shipping under Settings → Shipping and delivery: create a shipping zone (by country) and add rates to it, flat, by order total, or free shipping over an amount. A new Israeli store starts with "Domestic (Israel)" and two rates: standard shipping at ₪25 and express at ₪49.
How to create a discount or coupon code in your Modulus store
In Modulus you create a discount under Sales → Discounts → "Create discount": pick one of six kinds (product discount, order discount, buy X get Y, bundle price, free gift or free shipping), and decide whether shoppers enter a discount code at checkout or the discount applies automatically. You can limit it by minimum purchase, dates, number of uses and type of customer.
Domain
How to connect your own domain to your Modulus store
In Modulus you connect your own domain under Settings → Domains: enter the domain, add the DNS records Modulus shows at your domain provider (an A record for a root domain, a CNAME for a subdomain such as www), and click "Verify". Once the status is "Live", the store opens on your domain, and its Modulus address keeps working.
