How to sell alcohol, tobacco and 18+ products on Modulus

Short answer
On Modulus you sell 18+ products such as alcohol or tobacco with the "Adults only (18+)" setting under Settings → Checkout: visitors confirm they are 18 or older before the store opens and again at checkout, and the order records it. A store that sells alcohol also turns on "Alcohol warning", which shows the warning the law requires in the store footer.
Turn on the age check
Step 1: Open the checkout settings
Where: Settings›Checkout
Step 2: Turn on "Adults only (18+)"
From then on every visitor is asked to confirm their age, and every order needs an age confirmation at checkout.
Step 3: For an alcohol store, turn on "Alcohol warning" too
The store footer shows the warning: "Excessive consumption of alcohol is life-threatening and harmful to health" (in Hebrew in a Hebrew store).

Can I sell alcohol in a Modulus store?

Can I age-restrict only some products?
Not for now. The age check applies to the whole store.
How do I know the shopper confirmed their age?
It’s recorded on the order, and the order page in your admin says "The shopper confirmed they are 18 or older."
Does Modulus check ID?
No. Modulus asks shoppers to confirm their age on entry and at checkout and records the confirmation. Any further check, for example on delivery, is up to you.
