How to accept Bit payments in your Modulus store

Updated Available on every plan

Short answer

Modulus takes Bit in two ways: through a connected payment provider (Cardcom, Grow, PayPlus, Hyp, or Pelecard), where Bit appears at checkout automatically, or without a provider, as "Bit or PayBox" to your phone number, where you confirm each payment yourself. With Cardcom a Bit payment is limited to ₪5,000 per order; above that the shopper pays by card.

Bit through a payment provider

  1. Step 1: Connect a payment provider

Where: Sales›Payments›I already have a processing company

Pick Cardcom, Grow, PayPlus, Hyp, or Pelecard and enter your account details. The full connection guide

  2. Step 2: Bit shows up at checkout on its own

All five providers have Bit on by default, so checkout shows a separate "Bit" row ("Pay in the app") next to "Credit card".

Bit or PayBox straight to your phone

  1. Step 1: Choose "Direct payment to you"

    Where: Sales›Payments›Direct payment to you

  2. Step 2: Choose "Bit or PayBox" and enter your phone number

This is the number shoppers send the money to. It’s shown after they order and emailed to them.

  3. Step 3: Confirm each payment that arrives

When a shopper taps "I’ve paid" you get a notification. Once you’ve checked the money arrived, open the order and click "I got the payment" → "Yes, received".

Cardcom’s ₪5,000 Bit limit

  • With Cardcom, shoppers can pay by Bit on orders up to ₪5,000, including exactly ₪5,000.
  • On a larger order the Bit row doesn’t appear at checkout, and the shopper pays by card.
  • "Bit or PayBox to your phone" is also hidden while the provider offers Bit, so above the limit there is no Bit option at all.
  • Modulus sets no Bit limit for the other providers.

Frequently asked questions

Does Modulus support Bit payments?

Yes. Bit appears at checkout automatically when Cardcom, Grow, PayPlus, Hyp, or Pelecard is connected, and you can also take Bit or PayBox straight to your phone without a provider.

Why doesn’t Bit appear at checkout?

The likely reasons: the order is over ₪5,000 and the store uses Cardcom; the order isn’t in shekels (Bit works in shekels only); or Bit was turned off in the provider module’s settings.

Can shoppers pay by Bit in installments?

With Cardcom, a Bit payment is always a single payment.

Can I offer Bit through the provider and Bit to my phone at the same time?

No. When the provider offers Bit, Modulus hides "Bit or PayBox to your phone" so shoppers don’t see two Bit options, and the Payments screen says "Bit already comes through" your provider.
