How to set up shipping in your Modulus store

Short answer
In Modulus you set up shipping under Settings → Shipping and delivery: create a shipping zone (by country) and add rates to it, flat, by order total, or free shipping over an amount. A new Israeli store starts with "Domestic (Israel)" and two rates: standard shipping at ₪25 and express at ₪49.
What a new store already has

Both rates belong to the "Domestic (Israel)" zone. You can change the prices, delete rates or add more. If the store’s description mentioned free shipping, a "Free shipping" rate is added too.
Add a shipping zone and rate
Step 1: Open the shipping settings

Step 2: Add a shipping zone
Where: Shipping zones›Add Shipping Zone
Give it a "Zone Name" (for example "Israel") and choose "Countries" by name or code (Israel or IL). A zone with no countries is a catch-all for the rest of the world.
Step 3: Add a rate to the zone
Where: Shipping rates›Add Shipping Rate
Give it a "Rate Name" (for example "Standard" or "Express"), choose the "Shipping Zone" and "Rate Type", and fill in the price and "Estimated Delivery", which shoppers see at checkout.
Rate types

What shoppers see at checkout
- The "Shipping" step of checkout shows "Shipping Method": every rate in the zone that matches the shopper’s country, cheapest first, with its name, delivery time and price (or "Free").
- A zone set for a specific country takes priority over the catch-all zone.
- If no rate matches, the shopper sees that no shipping methods are available for their address.
- A cart with only digital products or services skips the address and shipping.
Frequently asked questions
How do I offer free shipping over a certain amount?
Add a "Free Shipping" rate and fill in its "Free Shipping Threshold", or fill in the threshold on your existing flat rate, so shipping drops to ₪0 from that amount.
Does Modulus connect to courier companies?
Not for now. You ship with the courier you work with, and when you mark an order as shipped you can add a tracking number and tracking link.
Can I set shipping prices by city or region?
No. Shipping zones in Modulus are set by country.
Do I need shipping set up to go live?
Yes. At least one shipping zone and rate is a required step on the launch checklist, so shoppers can complete an order. What going live needs
